Was the Separatists evil? ›

The Separatists Could Never Win the Clone Wars

While they may seem evil in Attack of the Clones, the CIS was ultimately a well-intentioned movement that got hijacked and radicalized by the Sith. When the Clone Wars ended and the Empire was formed, they quickly began dismantling the organization.

CIS almost always have fighter superiority,meaning the equivalent of a republic dreadnaught in fire power comes with fighter support, so even if slightly outmatched shields and engines can be wrecked in normal engagements very quickly. Sidious then issued Order 66 to his clone army. On planets across the galaxy, clone troopers turned their guns on their Jedi commanders, decimating the Order. Sidious sent Skywalker to Mustafar, where he slaughtered the members of the Separatist Council. The Separatist Alliance was defeated and the war was over.
